What is the Above & Beyond Wall and what does it do?
The wall puts you in touch with other people interested in Above & Beyond Events around the world.
You can view videos and pictures of past events, and you can check out a venue before you head there.
Each event has its own "twitter hashtag" - these are used to group together the twitter conversations about the event.
To chat with people interested in the event, include the hashtag of the event in your tweets: you can use any twitter client out there.
You'll find the event's hashtag in the TwitterChat area of each wall.
Even easier is to use our built-in hashtag chat client: this adds the hashtag for you so you can concentrate in communicating with people.
You can also find local people who are likely to join you to the party using each wall"s "people" area.
By joining in the conversation, you will be automatically added to the wall"s people.
Adding Videos & Pictures to the wall
Our system scans youtube & flickr for any items that contain the event's hashtag. So when uploading an items, assign the event hashtag to it.
You can add any related videos and pictures to the wall by simply copy/pasting a URL to the wall"s "Add URL" field.
To add a YouTube video, copy the video"s URL. A typical YouTube video URL looks like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=888ITocw8_Y.
If you are adding a picture, copy the actual image URL, not the URL of the page containing the picture.
This is usually done by right-clicking (pc) or cntrl-clicking (mac) and choosing "Copy Image Location".
You can also add an image to the wall by uploading it to twitpic, and including the event hashtag in the tweet.
